Great review of your musical history.
You could teach me so much about music from the 50s - 80s.
And, you're so organized!
Did you just about faint when you saw the jumbled stacks of CD's in my house?

If I was there for very long, I would have to organize your CDs.

Good stuff Jerry.

Your songs do bring back some memories for me, songs I hadn't thought about in years!! This makes me think of Dick Clark and American Bandstand! That was a long time ago. Gosh, I'm getting old!!

Great, Jerry. I didn't know one of your bad tape songs except the Paul Anka one.
And I don't know many of the 80s songs. I lisen to classic rock and golden oldie stations mostly, with NO MODERN MUSIC AT ALL.
Our car radio is failing and the only FM station that we get good up here is a classic CW station. I know a whole bunch of those too it turns out.

Maybe you could pick some more fine points to show us, I like your musical write-up blogs. Please!

I remember the 8 track player in your car - mounted under the dash...and I remember asking you to play the "motorcycle song; look out!" I don't think you ever turned down my requests.
Mom was a huge influence on me with the early Beatles, The Crystals, Bobbie V, etc - and Dad with Cream, Boston, Billy Joel and The Doobie Brothers. Then you came in with all of the above AND new things like the Black Crows, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Grazing In The Grass - Hugh Masekela, Beth Hart, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Bowling for Soup and Tulsa's local signers. I turned out to be a music junkie, just like you. My best birthday present ever was when you took me to see Stone Temple Pilots!

Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out! - THE SHANGRI-LAS

"The music is more accessible, yet more disposable too."
That quote is SO true!!!

Happy Weekend to YOU!
