Johnny Virgil of 15 Minute Lunch has some great posts over at his place.  He tells a story of getting injured by a treadmill.  Poor guy.  At least he got a sympathy card.

Blogiversary VI

It has been six years since I started this blog.  1035 posts later, and I'm still here.

I've not been very good lately on keeping up with the blog.  Real life interferes way too much.  But I'm going to try to keep it going now that I'm in Texas.

I've met some great folks via this blog and hope to meet more in the future.  Thanks to the one or two readers that I've still got left.  I'll try to keep you entertained.  

Unplugged

Some one asked me recently if I was still blogging.  The answer is: Kinda yes, kinda no.

Since I've been down in Houston, my only access to the internet is at work.  Now I could bring my laptop home and post something from the Business Center at the clubhouse where I'm staying.  But after working long hours, I'm too pooped to come up with anything witty.

So postings are going to be somewhat random between now and the end of January.  I'll be back in Tulsa in February and hopefully back to a more regular schedule.

Bear with me.

Blogiversary V

Today marks five years I've been doing this blog.  My, how time flies.  It's hard to believe I had all that free time to put out a daily post back then.  Now it seems, I'm lucky if I get one post up a week. 

I will soon be leaving Indiana, probably before the end of the year.  Blogging under the title Back Home Again just really doesn't make much sense once I leave.  I may start another blog at that time.  I'm not sure what I'll do just yet.

I really have enjoyed blogging and all the friends that I've made here.  This blog has brought a smile to my face when life was pretty gloomy.  To all my blog friends:  Thanks!  Keep the laughs coming!

Liftoff

Last weekend, I attended a blogmeet in Tennessee.  A friend of mine asked me what we do at a blogmeet.  I explained that we eat, drink, sing songs, and tell stories.  Oh, and shoot off rockets.  Eat your heart out, NASA! 

Note: At the end of the video, someone says that a piece of the rocket hit the blue car.  That would be my car.  Lesson learned: Don't park downwind of a rocket launch.

Indy Blogmeet

I almost forgot to mention that I attended the Indy Blogmeet on July 19th.  It was held at the Rock Bottom Brewery, just a few minutes away from the farm.  Good company and good pretzels.  A small, but enthusiastic crowd attended: Joanna, Nathan Brindle, Old Grouch, Shermlock Shomes, Turk Turon, and our hosts Tam and Roberta X.  More of a recap over at Roberta X's place.

I won a bottle of Defcon One hot sauce for traveling the second farthest.  It was only 14 miles.  These are some local folks!

Looking forward to the next one.  Frank's gonna bring some sweet corn.  Yum!
